About St. James Church

A community of seekers. A house of prayer. A school of love.

St. James Episcopal Church nurtures and celebrates the common life of faith born in our connection to God, one another, and all of creation. Our community is grounded in the deep wisdom of the Christian Way and the radical love in Jesus, our teacher. We hold deep respect for other religious traditions.

Worship at St. James is centered in prayer, marked by the poetry of Scripture, sacred music, and contemplative practice.

Theology at St. James is grounded in the inherent goodness of creation, which extends to all people.

Service at St. James is nurtured by the radical love demonstrated in the life and teachings of Jesus—we are committed to anti-racism work, care for creation, and food security in the Swannanoa Valley.
