St. James Church recognizes that a wedding represents a moment of great significance, a time of blessing and joy. As a sacrament of the church, the marriage ceremony is a service of worship based upon a solemn, public, and life-long covenant made and celebrated in the presence of God and before a priest and congregation. For Christians, marriage is an invitation to share life bound together by the Spirit and love of God.

Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the modern nave with exquisite stained glass, is a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding.

The following guidelines and polices are offered to assist couples in planning, and are intended to insure the dignity and reverence the church holds for the sacrament of marriage.
