Psalm One Hundred and Fifty lists a veritable orchestra of sound in praise of our Maker. While we don’t utilize all of those instruments, Saint James is blessed to have many at our disposal: organ, guitar, handbells, brass ensembles, flute, strings and harp. And, of course, the beautiful sounds of a four-part choral ensemble. We glean our music selections from the length and breadth of sacred song: Hymnody, spirituals, folk tunes, meditative chants, contemporary compositions. All contribute to the vast diversity, the beauty of the Beloved in our midst.
Our choir assists at the 10:30 am Sunday liturgy from September through the Feast of Pentecost, and for all major feasts and celebrations of the church year. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 until 7:45pm.
